Nursing (Associate)

The objective of the Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) program is to provide students with the appropriate didactic theory and hands-on skills required to prepare them for nursing positions in health care centers, clinics and facilities.

Nursing Training Classes

Nursing students receive education in the following areas:

• Anatomy and Physiology
• Fundamentals of Nursing
• Nursing Pharmacology
• Microbiology
• Developmental Psychology
• Maternal Child Nursing
• Nursing Leadership and Management
• Medical/Surgical Nursing
• Critical Care Nursing
• Psych/Mental Health Nursing
• NCLEX Review
• Community Health Nursing

Students also have the opportunity to practice their skills in the modern skills and simulation lab

The combination of skills taught in this program, will prepare students for the ever-changing field of nursing and health care.

Nursing Career Opportunities

After completing the program, nursing students will be prepared to take the NCLEX-RN exam. After passing the exam, the individual may use the title of Registered Nurse (RN).

Nursing Degree Earned

Upon graduation, you'll receive an Associate of Science (AS) Degree in Nursing. Although no different from an AS degree, some states may award an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) Degree.
